Last Sunday’s damp weather didn’t dampen our spirits as 16 players came out for a great pickup match. This Sunday’s weather will be crisp and dry at 9 a.m., so it should be perfect soccer weather. Remember to bring a white and dark shirt!
We had a great turnout of 18 for last Sunday’s game. This Sunday hopefully we can get a game in before the rain. There’s a chance of t-storms Sunday morning, so please check the blog if you’re not sure about the conditions–I’ll only post if the game is cancelled. We had 12 players last Sunday for a great game under perfect spring conditions at Highland Field–it’s so nice to be playing outdoors again! We’ll be taking this Sunday off due to the Easter holiday, but will be back next week–look forward to seeing everyone then.

The fields are now open and it’s time to play! The weather could be a bit iffy for tomorrow with damp conditions, so let’s do a soft start with whoever wants to get out there and stretch your legs, and we’ll start in earnest next week. It’s time to dust off those cleats, pump up that soccer ball, and get ready for some outdoor soccer action! The fields aren’t open quite yet*, but as soon as they are we’ll be starting up our weekly Sunday morning pickup soccer games. To help balance field use and maintain field quality, we’ll be playing at Highland Field this year, which is near Mahoney’s Garden Center in North Chelmsford. Many of you may have coached U10 teams at Highland in the past, as it used to have two U10 fields, but it’s recently been converted to a U12 field with new goalposts. You can find a map and directions on the About/Directions tab. Watch this page for updates and an announcement about when the pickup games will begin–remember that you can join the e-mail list or subscribe to the RSS feed to the right to be notified of new posts. Well we’ve had an incredible run of great weather this fall, but all good things must come to an end and the forecast for tonight is for lows in the teens, which will hard freeze the ground and make it unplayable tomorrow morning. Thanks to everyone for a really fun Sunday pickup game this year; enjoy the holidays and let’s look forward to another great year next year!
Let the amazing streak of late fall games continue! We had about 16 players last Sunday for the post-Turkey Day weekend game, with more players back from their Thanksgiving travels this weekend (yours truly included), so let’s play! Join us as we give thanks for another fabulous weekend of soccer weather this Sunday at 9 a.m. at South Row Field. Last Sunday we had an impressive showing of 28 players for a spirited game on the 11v11 field. It should be nearly as nice this Sunday, so bring your friends and family (and a white and dark shirt) as we complete a full month of November soccer for the first time in ages!
