Well we’ve had an incredible run of great weather this fall, but all good things must come to an end and the forecast for tonight is for lows in the teens, which will hard freeze the ground and make it unplayable tomorrow morning. Thanks to everyone for a really fun Sunday pickup game this year; enjoy the holidays and let’s look forward to another great year next year!
Let the amazing streak of late fall games continue! We had about 16 players last Sunday for the post-Turkey Day weekend game, with more players back from their Thanksgiving travels this weekend (yours truly included), so let’s play! Bring a white and dark shirt, your kids, and your friends, and let’s enjoy this while we still can. Hope to see you out there!
Join us as we give thanks for another fabulous weekend of soccer weather this Sunday at 9 a.m. at South Row Field. Last Sunday we had an impressive showing of 28 players for a spirited game on the 11v11 field. It should be nearly as nice this Sunday, so bring your friends and family (and a white and dark shirt) as we complete a full month of November soccer for the first time in ages!
We had a fantastic turnout of 20 people last Sunday, and this Sunday the temps will be just as warm with breezy conditions–more perfect soccer weather! We’ll change the venue to South Row field since the Murphy Field goals have been moved and chained. As always, bring your kids and your friends, and come play while we can still enjoy the outdoor game. Hope to see you there!
We can’t ask for a better November weather day than this Sunday, with sunny skies and temps in the 50s at gametime. Bring your kids, bring some friends, and meet at Murphy Field at 9 a.m. for our weekly pickup game–there won’t be many more chances this season, so enjoy it while you can!
The weather is expected to be sunny and crisp on Sunday morning, a vast improvement from last weekend’s maelstrom. We played until mid-November last year so there may still be several good weeks of soccer left. Unfortunately I’m away in CT helping my sister-in-law with a move this weekend and next, but I’d be anxious to play if I was around. Well the weather outside is looking frightful, so the Sunday pickup game this week is cancelled. I won’t say this is the end of the season, since we played well into November last year, but we’ll have to see what mother nature brings us next week. Keep checking the blog for info about future games and we’ll take it a week at a time. We had 22 players for last week’s game, so there’s plenty of momentum to keep going if we get some good weather. In the meantime, find those snow shovels!
