We had a fantastic turnout of 20 people last Sunday, and this Sunday the temps will be just as warm with breezy conditions–more perfect soccer weather! We’ll change the venue to South Row field since the Murphy Field goals have been moved and chained. As always, bring your kids and your friends, and come play while we can still enjoy the outdoor game. Hope to see you there!
We can’t ask for a better November weather day than this Sunday, with sunny skies and temps in the 50s at gametime. Bring your kids, bring some friends, and meet at Murphy Field at 9 a.m. for our weekly pickup game–there won’t be many more chances this season, so enjoy it while you can!
The weather is expected to be sunny and crisp on Sunday morning, a vast improvement from last weekend’s maelstrom. We played until mid-November last year so there may still be several good weeks of soccer left. Unfortunately I’m away in CT helping my sister-in-law with a move this weekend and next, but I’d be anxious to play if I was around. Please post if you’ll definitely make the game this Sunday at 9 a.m. at Murphy Field, and post after the game to let me know how it went!
Well the weather outside is looking frightful, so the Sunday pickup game this week is cancelled. I won’t say this is the end of the season, since we played well into November last year, but we’ll have to see what mother nature brings us next week. Keep checking the blog for info about future games and we’ll take it a week at a time. We had 22 players for last week’s game, so there’s plenty of momentum to keep going if we get some good weather. In the meantime, find those snow shovels!
Last week we had 27 players for a really fun, up-tempo game under clear skies, and this Sunday promises to be another gorgeous fall morning. We won’t have many more chances like this as we head toward November weather, so come out and enjoy it while you can! I haven’t been able to make it the last two weeks, so I’m looking forward to a rousing good pickup game this Sunday at 9 a.m. at Murphy Field. Should be a crisp and clear morning, but you’ll need those sweatshirts as well as a white and dark shirt, cleats, and a water bottle. Bring a friend–hope to see you there!

The fields are obviously pretty wet, but the rain is mostly over and there won’t be any major downpours according to the weather radar. Please post in the comments if you’re interested in playing this morning…unfortunately I’m still nursing an injury from last Sunday and can’t make it.
