Thanks for all of the well wishes regarding my son Alexander. Just a quick update: he had 9.5 hours of surgery on Wednesday to repair the damage, and is slowly recovering at Mass General. He got out of the ICU yesterday and should be able to come home in a few days. The surgery went well, and aside from some relatively minor nerve damage he should be able to make a nearly full recovery–hopefully he’ll be back at school in another month or so.
